- 01/20 The U.S. Presidential Inauguration will be shown on a wide-screen TV in the Events Area of the ISU Library.
February 2009
- 02/01 12 noon-11:30 p.m. Superbowl XLIII will be shown on Sunday on wide-screen TV in the Events Area of the ISU Library.
- 02/09 6 p.m - 9:00 p.m. Darwin's 200th Birthday, "Inherit the Wind" film about the Scopes Monkey Trials, Dr. Rusty Gonser will host in the Events Area, Dr. Linda Maule will facilitate a panel discussion about "Politics of The Evolution/Creationism Debate", after the showing of the film, Refreshments Pizza and popcorn will be served to celebrate Darwin's birthday.

- 02/24 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Town & Gown - "Death by Credit Cards: Essentials of Survival" movie Panel discussion, Popcorn and Hot Chocolate, Susan Frey will host this event
March 2009
- 03/01 March is Disability Awareness Month - Disability Awareness activities and events will be planned and co-sponsored by the ISU Library and the Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education
- 03/03 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Greatest Cult Films Panel Discussion, Panelists: Gerardo Cummings, Keri Berg, Jake Eubanks, chair, Events Area.
- 03/04 7:00 P.M., Tilson Auditorium, University Speaker Series - Robert Osborne, Master of Ceremonies for the Turner Film Classics. The Library will host a series of films in conjunction with his appearance.
- 03/25 5:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M., Disability Awareness Month 40 Years of Special Olympics at ISU, Panel Discussion Events Area.
April 2009
- 04/02 04/03 04/05 Thursday & Friday 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., and Saturday 12 noon to 6:00 P.M. Annual Library Book Sale
- 04/13 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Earth Day Events Area- Showing the "11th Hour" Film, This is a Leo DiCaprio movie followed by panel discusion, Popcorn for 75 people, Co-Sponsors: Science Education, Honors Program, Ctr. for Public Service & community Engagement, Provost, General Education and 1st Year Experience Grants.
- 04/14 Human Rights Day Event, Events Area.
- 04/14 Double Helix Day Event Displays at CML, CML will display the books written by John Avise and Scott Edwards, the two speaker/authors invited to campus to speak on campus at the Double Helix Da Events.
